Description:Responsibilities:
The lead field staff will take primary responsibility for:
• Leading a 4 week backcountry trip of up to 6 at-risk youth with two other staff
• Leading an additional 2 weeks of programming in the Missoula community
• Collaborate with program therapist in development and implementation of individual treatment plans
• Supervise field staff team
• Complete paperwork as required
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and experiential ed. activities
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all group members
• Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:Duration:
• Approximately 40 days of work per each 6 week program, programs are scheduled in 2009 for spring summer and fall
• Potential for additional hours
• 48 + hour staff training

Qualifications:
• 152 field days working with at-risk youth in backcountry setting
• Current Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness EMT certification w/ current CPR and First Aid certification
• Be in good general physical and mental health
• Negative TB screen
• Background check
